Treasure Cove Metal Detector Reviews
Quite a few reviews are available for Treasure Cove TC-3020 Digital Metal Detector. The pleased users said that it beeps clearly when the type of metal you’re hunting is found.
People sometimes get confused that metal detecting isn’t like hunting for a radioactive object, constantly emitting detectable radiation, like you are getting warmer or cooler, it beeps when it finds metal. You do need patience the first few times you use it, because you need to set the sensitivity to find the right discrimination. Like anything, it gets easier to use as you get familiar with what you are doing. This was by far the best detector for the money.
There are few reviewers who found this Treasure Cove metal detector inaccurate. As one reviewer stated, this thing just beeps once, then after five minutes of trying to find again the spot where it beeped, you might start the long digging process.
It beeps in four different areas and when you find the area where it beeped and this detector will tell you that the object is 5 feet down. When you dig 2 feet down, it still tells you that the object is 5 feet down.
Treasure Cove Fortune Finder Platinum TC-3020 Digital Metal Detector Set got a rating of 4 out of 5 stars from its online reviewers. While there are reports of this detector’s inaccuracy, most reviewers claimed that it’s a great metal detector and it does its function really well. The specs and features of the unit were great for the price in comparison to other brands and styles.

I purchased this same unit from an on-line vendor. It was sold under a different name and a diffent model number.
It is my second Medical Detector (MD) purchase.
I purchased it in April of 2011 year. I did not find alot of time to go coin hunting last year. The instruction manual is quite basic and could offer much more specifics on the use of this product. I recently retired and have taken the time to learn the nuances of this MD. I find using this unit under the Disc/Notch function to be most effective. Once in this function I press the + button 4 times. In this mode a high tone is given for quarters, dimes and copper pennies. I have been sucessful in increasing my clad coinage finds. Unfortunately in the this mode oxidized nails, aluminum cans and other metalic trash give off a high tone. I do not dig low tones so this may be why nickel finds have been minimal. I have yet to find any wheaties, silver coins, or precious metal jewelry but I believe those finds are in the near future. After reading the info in this website I may start digging low tones in hopes of retrieving rings.
I do enjoy my MD and it was the best dollar value to meet my needs. As soon as my finds pay off this purchase I may invest in a more expensive unit or I may just keep it as long as it works. I am quite pleased with my purchase and would recommnend this product to any first timer metal detectorist.
